An Unconventional Berlin City Guide
We knew we wanted to share a Berlin city guide with you, but we realized a lot of our favorite spots might already be in your rotation. Sooo— we thought we’d switch it up. Highlight more of what’s on the pulse in terms of events, brand new or not-yet-open spaces, places to find community, and the not-so-obvious things.
FLŌAT Studio - This beautiful new studio in Kreuzberg is a hot studio - a place you’ll probably be finding us more often now that the temperatures are dropping. Focusing on Pilates, Barre and yoga, this studio opened it’s doors just last month!
Unfoldstudio - We both excitedly texted each other when we saw that @nush_y and @valerydiaa announced that they were opening a studio together on Instagram. We can imagine it’s going to be chic, radiant and inviting — a reflection of them. Exact location is TBA — what we know so far is that it will be somewhere in Kreuzberg and is opening in November.
aōma health club - A bit mysterious, but we’re excited to see what this new boutique Reformer & Tower Pilates studio in Charlottenburg is going to be like. Opening this winter, and it looks like they are hiring — any teachers out there interested!?
FOMO 24/7 - If you’re more into the tech/start-up world — this is the platform for you. Cephas is the mastermind behind this project, and on his newsletter and Instagram he shares networking events you’ll actually want to attend, many of which he hosts himself.
Flashquad - We recently met Eli and Sandra who started this app, a place where you can find a curated selection of community-led events in Berlin. These women are such go-getters and SO inspiring. We love their dedication and how much heart they are putting into this, and the concept is genius. Great for finding unique ways to connect with new people in Berlin.
The Berlin Flow - Sabrina is the creatress behind the viral Instagram account @nachtclubsberlin. This year, she launched The Berlin Flow, a newsletter dedicated to highlighting events for conscious, creative and alternative minds.
SPA DIR DEN RAVE - We met Isis this summer while working at Garbicz and loved her energy. Her spa rave at UHU sounds like it is going to be soo much fun — it’s giving afterhour-vibes with DJ-sets ranging from house to ambient, mocktails, a buffet and a sound bath to close it out. It’s happening October 24th from 18.00-00.00 and you can buy tickets here. (And stay tuned to our Instagram tomorrow for an exclusive giveaway!)
Sensory Rave Spa - The team behind Overflow is on a mission to reimagine the rave landscape through sensory rebalance & wellbeing. On Sunday, October 26th, they’re hosting a sensory rave spa designed for deep rest and gentle stimulation. Expect ambient sets, sauna sessions, a live performance, massage and more.
Sauna Social Club Berlin - One of the very first spa rave concepts to pop up in Berlin, Sauna Social Club is based out of Studio DB in Wedding. They just had their season opening last week and the next edition is taking place Wednesday, October 22nd. Join the Telegram group to stay in the loop.
White Label Project - We’ve been following WLP’s work for a while now, and finally had a chance to check out their concept store in Mitte for a Berlin Art Week event last month. Their mission is to highlight impact-led design brands and artists from all over the world. We’ll be hosting a really special ceremony at their concept store next month so stay tuned for more details soon!
Herbar - Skincare reloaded — these products are crafted from fungi and adaptogenic formulations, and the packaging is cool to boot. We love how these two friends, Catarina, a traditional Chinese Medicine doctor, and Rui, a Plant Nutrition Scientist, turned their shared passions into this swoon-worthy brand. You can read more about their story here, and if you want to see and test out their products in person you can check them out at Voo Store in Kreuzberg.
Nourished Collective - We’ve referenced Nourished Collective countless times, but we adore them so much that we felt we should mention them again. First of all, the women who are part of it are so creative, knowledgable and inspiring. Secondly, their space at Moos where they host workshops is so special — it really feels like the “old Berlin”. They’ve got a variety of food and herbalism workshops coming up, like the Feed the Microbiome, Nutrition Workshop + Microbial Feast, hosted by Diana Warrings on Thursday, October 23rd. We can’t wait to attend!
