Heartbreak Club: Feminist Coaching Weekend Workshop (FLINTA+ only)

November 1st - November 2nd, 2025 • Manoah Center, Berlin-Kreuzberg

Two days to reflect, unwind, and gain new (community) power. Perfect if you need a break from everyday life. Here you can gain fresh perspectives and reconnect with yourself – without all the pressure that is often imposed on us from outside.

Workshop topics:
→ Resilience
→ Connection
→ Self-Compassion

How do we make our inner monologue more kind?
How can we comfort ourselves when we need it most?

For this weekend workshop, you’ll explore what strengthens you, where your resources lie, and learn the practice of self-compassion – aka how to treat yourself just as lovingly as you treat your friends.

In doing so, we look not only inward, but also at the system in which we live:

What messages have we absorbed about how we should relate to ourselves?
What patterns shape the way we treat ourselves?

Workshop language: German

Goals

“My coaching sessions are about creating a space where heartbreaks are normalized and we can escape the societal pressure to perform. A space where we look instead of running away. Where we arrive, feel, process—and learn how to treat ourselves lovingly in difficult times. From there, we ask the question: How can we live and love in a way that truly reflects who we are?”

  • “During my studies, I spent many years in-depth studying feminist theory, particularly unpaid housework and care work. It became clear to me early on that I wanted to work in a feminist context. However, the path to this goal was anything but straightforward.

I know what it's like to feel lost. To find yourself in a dead end, to run into closed doors, to constantly question everything. After graduating in the middle of the lockdown, my career didn't work out as hoped. A long-term relationship ended. What followed was a restless time and many, many heartbreaks. Then a coaching session changed a lot and gave birth to a vision: the Heartbreak Club.

Feminist individual and group coaching for FLINTA+ people in times of crisis and change. This isn't just about classic heartbreak. Many things break our hearts: plans that don't work out, "success" that feels empty, professional disappointments, friendships, societal expectations and ideals. When we constantly feel like we're not good enough or too much.

I believe in tenderness as strength. In vulnerability as courage. I don't believe in preconceived notions of what life, love, or healing should look like. Let's discover together how you can live and love in a way that suits you.”

  • “In feminist coaching, we explore and process personal experiences and place them in a structural context. Many of us suffer from similar problems in this society, so these should not be individualized but viewed structurally. The pain we experience is often an understandable reaction to our experiences within this system. Feminist coaching aims to empower us and give us new courage by helping us take personal responsibility and challenge limiting societal ideas about gender roles and life plans. It enables us to discover how we can live and love in a way that reflects who we are.

Especially in the community of group coaching, we can experience a kind of feminist utopia in which we encounter each other with radical openness, acceptance, and tenderness – this is how feminist practice becomes tangible.”

  • “We live in a patriarchal society that is structurally unjust on many levels. For me, feminism means fighting against structural exclusion, oppression, unequal power relations, and unfair resource distribution, and creating solidarity between people. This recognizes the similarities and differences of their experiences in this society and preserves their individuality and autonomy.

Feminist practice involves both recognizing structural discrimination and recognizing one's own privileges. While I experience discrimination as a woman in this society, I simultaneously enjoy privileges that have made my life path so far possible, including the creation of The Heartbreak Club.”
