From Presence to Expression - Week 3: Improv for Self-Discovery

  • b23 Greifswalder Straße 23 · Berlin 12047 Berlin Germany (map)

Hosted by @art.consciousness

A weekly experiential journey exploring presence, self-regulation, creativity, play, sound and voice.

Each session offers a different entry point to reconnect with yourself, notice what is happening within, and explore new forms of expression. The experiences combine body awareness, breathing, creativity, reflection, improvisation, sound and voice through individual, partner and group practices.

Week 3: Improv for Self-Discovery

Sometimes we understand ourselves better when we stop explaining and start enacting.

Improv for Self-Discovery uses role play, spontaneous interpretation, storytelling and psychodrama exercises to explore how inner patterns, emotions and ways of relating can become visible through action.

By stepping into different roles, creating scenes and responding without a fixed script, participants are invited to notice what emerges naturally: how they react, what they avoid, what they repeat, what they project and what becomes possible when they try a different response.

Improvisation creates a space where parts of our inner world can appear indirectly through a character, a story, a gesture or an interaction making it easier to observe them from a new perspective.

At the same time, witnessing others becomes part of the process. What we perceive in another person’s story or role can resonate with something in us, reveal a contrast, or open a new way of understanding our own experience.

At Art Consciousness, play is not an escape from serious things. It is a way of creating enough freedom and distance to explore what is happening inside us without having to define it first.

The focus is not on performance. It is on curiosity, spontaneity and observation.

No acting or improv experience is required.

About Art Consciousness

Art Consciousness explores art as a language and a technology for human transformation.

Our methodology is structured around an internal–external infinity: a continuous movement between what happens within us and how it is expressed, perceived and transformed through our relationship with the world.

We explore this movement through three interconnected bodies: the physical, the mental-emotional and the energetic, understanding that every experience can manifest across these different dimensions.

This exploration is developed through our four interconnected pillars:

Individual & Social Consciousness — awareness of self and context
Art as Integration — transforming experience through creation
Ritual & Symbolism — meaning, transition and embodied intention
Community — connection, reflection and shared experience

Through these pillars, we create experiences that support people in observing, expressing and integrating what is happening internally while exploring how it takes form externally.

Rather than approaching art as performance or aesthetic production, we use it as a medium for accessing experiences that are not always available.

Participants can join one session, two sessions, or the full four-session journey.

Tickets: 1 session: €20 / 2 sessions: €36 / Full 4-session journey: €64
