Experience the power of singing together and raising our voices in support of the IAEV's peacebuilding work in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Join Marije and Kim in person for a fun and relaxed singing circle. No previous experience is needed. Anyone with a voice is welcome, whether you sing in the shower, you're a karaoke master, or anything in between.
The songs we sing
Our circles weave songs from different cultures and contemporary songwriters, often centred around themes of the natural world and human experience. The songs we sing are simple, repetitive, and easy to follow. Through repetition, the mind softens, and the music becomes something you can feel rather than think about.
We also leave space for improvisation, inviting you to explore your own voice, add harmonies, or simply follow what feels natural in the moment.
Flow of the evening
19:30 - Welcome!
19:45 - Warm-up
Simple exercises to deepen the breath, connect with your body and awaken your voice.
20:00 - Group singing
We’ll share a selection of simple, repetitive songs, building into a collective sound.
21:15 - Closing circle
A soft landing to integrate the experience and close the space together.
Note: Throughout the evening, you’re invited to participate in whatever way feels right for you.
Raising our voices in support of people affected by the war in the eastern DRC
This event is a fundraiser. All profits will be donated to support the organisation of stress management courses for people affected by the war in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Meet your hosts
Marije and Kim’s shared passion for singing inspires them to create spaces for collective, conscious music making. After over a year of hosting intimate, private singing circles, they’re excited to open this space to the wider community.
These circles aren’t about performance or perfection. They’re about the real, messy, and joyful experience of making music together. When our voices meet something magical happens. A connection that softens boundaries, gets us out of our heads and brings us into a shared state of being, inviting us to raise our voices together.
We believe singing has the power to heal on both individual and collective levels. As a non-profit initiative, we donate all profits to social and environmental causes (you can find more details in the description of each event).
