Hosted by Josephine Pia Wild
The Voice Listening is a small, intimate gathering held on Sunday afternoons in Berlin, a space to let your voice exist without having to perform. To feel it land in your body. To hear it held by others.
Each session moves through breath, gentle voice awakening, and collective singing of songs with lineage: folk melodies, lullabies, ancient fragments passed between people, carrying memory. We slow down. We sound together. We listen.
Spots are limited to 12–14 participants.
Each Voice Listening moves through a gentle arc:
Arrival & landing: we settle in, the week falls away, silence before sound
Breath & voice awakening: gentle breath work, tones, body. Nothing to achieve, only to feel
Collective singing: ancient songs chosen for you, learned together slowly, over time
Expression window: an open door: one person may sing, someone may explore, or we simply close in silence
Closing ritual: we land, we return, carrying something back with us
About the facilitator
Josephine is a singer-songwriter and vocal practitioner working at the intersection of voice, body, and artistic identity. She has worked with singers for over ten years, in Berlin and beyond. Her approach is somatic, meaning the work moves through the body, not around it. Slowness is the method. Listening is the practice. The Voice Listening grew from a longing she felt herself — for a space that was neither a technique class nor a therapy circle. Something in between. Something that takes song as a living thing, passed between people, carrying memory. A way to remember the old way of singing together.
"I don't teach singing. I hold a space where your voice can remember itself."
