The Dance of The Hummingbird Under The Broken Moon

October 20th -October 24th, 2026 • Huitzilac, Mexico

A 5-day ritual immersion for women in the forest of Mexico

Step into a 5-day immersive retreat in the forests near Mexico City, designed for a small circle of 10 women to reconnect with their creative voice, emotional depth, and inner direction.

Through ritual, sound, and embodied practices, you will explore the archetypes of Sun, Moon, Stars, and Earth as living forces within you — guiding you toward clarity, expression, and aligned action.

The Dance Flow

For five days, a small circle will step into a living ritual, walking among trees, stones, and fire, opening to the presence of sacred plants, the temazcal, and the dance of creation itself.

Through shared meals, quiet, sound, movement, writing, plants, and acts of imagination, each experience becomes a mirror and a key, guiding participants to discern their path, awaken intention, and inhabit the fullness of their will, body and spirit.

Practice Intention

This is a space to experience the unity of self and awaken the dormant forces that guide your life. It is a dance, a living philosophy of unlocking the archetypes within your own existence, Allow them to guide you toward the full expression of your potential.

The Hummingbird Nest

Huitzilac, whose name comes from Nahuatl and can be translated as “in the water of the hummingbirds,” is a corner in the Mexican forests, 40 minutes from Mexico City. A nest where the land, the trees, and the birds seem to whisper ancient stories.

The flora consists mostly of oak and pine forests, guardians of memory, where sunlight filters through leaves that breathe, and the shadows of the mountains invite contemplation.

Nestled within this serene landscape, the boutique house occupies a comfortable 800 m², offering space to live in harmony with nature. Surrounded by the tranquility of the forest, it is a perfect refuge for those seeking privacy, comfort, and a deep connection with the land and its timeless whispers.

Cristina Bucardo is a Mexican contemporary multidisciplinary artist working with ritual, sound, and Mexica philosophy. Founder of Mitotili, her practice explores ritual as an aesthetic and experiential structure through which perception, memory, and identity can be reorganized.

She works between artistic and therapeutic contexts, creating guided ceremonial processes that engage participants at psychological, symbolic, and sensory levels.

Her work in Berlin has been presented in institutions such as Charité and the International Society for Arts and Medicine. Since 2017, she has accompanied individuals through ritual-based processes rooted in Mexican traditions and contemporary artistic practice.

The Dance of the Hummingbird emerges from a site central to her biography  the house where she grew up in the forests of Mexico, that has become today a retreat house and used as the setting for this structured ritual experience.
