Silvester in Silence Retreat

December 27th, 2025 - January 1st, 2026 • Wermelskirchen, Germany

Do you long for a mindful start to the new year and time to reconnect with yourself, but in a community setting?

Silvester in Silence is not your average silent retreat. It's an invitation to grounded spirituality and the beginning of your new year in deep presence, in harmony with yourself and the silence that sustains everything. The first few days are intentionally dedicated to connection —with workshops, processes, and open space—inviting you to honor the past year.

You will then transition into three days of silence, nurtured by yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and the healing power of nature. You will turn your focus inward, nurturing your connection to yourself, to others, and to life itself. Afterward, you will take time to integrate the experience of silence and how to weave it into your daily life.

Retreat Language: German

“Stillness. One of the doors into the temple.”

- Mary Oliver

Silence & Meditation

The heart of the retreat is three days of silence, during which the group will meditate together, practice yoga, and reflect on different facets of themselves. During this time, you will also have moments for personal exploration and time to take long walks in the surrounding forest.

Each participant experiences the retreat in their own way. By setting aside all roles and practicing being fully present—without external distractions, to-dos, or expectations—something truly transformative can occur. Throughout the retreat, you will receive an overview of meditation techniques drawn from various traditions.

In the tradition of Hridaya Yoga and Ramana Maharshi, special attention is given to the heart as both a meditation object and an organ of perception.

"So much happened! Overall, I can say that these days have triggered an incredible amount in me, and in the most positive way. I've always been interested in spirituality, but I feel like my journey has only just begun. I'm truly hungry for similar spaces and encounters. Letting go and connection are the key words I'm taking with me."

Workshop & Impulses

With inner work, we always reach a limit on our own at some point, a point beyond which we simply cannot go any further. Introspection is especially profound and lasting when we are able to gather reference experiences and receive individual support in "safe spaces." The workshops at this retreat are designed to best accompany you through your process and transformation.

You'll receive inspiration for reflection on creative writing and learn tools for authentic encounters—with others and, above all, with yourself. You will receive support on all levels of perception and, together, you will integrate visions and possibilities for (re)orientation.

During the silence, you will receive insights from non-dualism, Sufism, Buddhist teachings, Western mysticism, and contemporary cognitive science. This is your opportunity to enter into deep reflection and reconnection, strengthening your spiritual practice.

“All that is required to realize the Self is to be still.

- Ramana Maharshi

Yoga & Embodiment

Memories and emotions are stored in our bodies and can become ingrained. Inner work always involves somatic work if we want to incorporate all of our parts. Conscious bodywork and connecting with your feelings are therefore an essential part of the practices offered.

During this retreat, you'll connect with your inner selves primarily through embodiment and gentle movement. There will be Gentle Vinyasa, Slow Flows, and Embodied Movement.

It doesn't matter whether you already have yoga experience or are just beginning your asana practice. The sessions offered are suitable for all levels. Especially during the first few days, there will be time for assists and for you to receive support with your alignment.

Brunnenhaus In d. Aue 2, 42929 Wermelskirchen

The retreat will take place in the enchanting Brunnenhaus, a lovingly restored old farmhouse surrounded by a nature reserve with numerous hiking trails. The house itself has plenty of space, a cozy common room , and a spacious dining area where we can gather.

The sauna is a welcome treat on the second day, helping us to settle in even more. The bright seminar room will become our shala, a place for encounters with the group and with yourself. This is where the workshops, yoga sessions and meditation sessions will take place.

Meet your hosts

Sophia

I am convinced that we all have our own unique pace. Finding a pace in movement and creativity that feels authentic in the present moment is the focus of my work. In our authentic expression, we can listen to our soul and our body on all levels, in order to sustainably establish a deep connection with ourselves and with others.

Nadine

Through inner and outer journeys, I have learned that we already carry within ourselves everything we seek. Through my work, I invite you to bring more clarity, vitality, and trust into your own experience through the body, conscious presence, and an open heart. By turning our attention inward, healing, growth, and genuine connection can occur naturally. I create spaces where we can simply be—authentic, still, and connected.

Selina

Cooking and art are integral to my life. As an Ayurvedic chef, I create dishes using regional, seasonal ingredients and wild herbs to promote sustainable and nourishing nutrition during the retreat. My years of experience and training in yoga and Ayurveda have infused these values into my cuisine. I invite you to enjoy this culinary journey and experience the connection between food and mindfulness during these days.
