Dynamic Vinyasa yoga, deep relaxation sessions, and shared experiences provide a clear framework for reflection, connection, and renewed energy. Daily Rhythm

  • Sunrise Rituals: Start with meditation on the terrace, complemented by light snacks and tea/coffee.

  • Physical Activation: A powerful, focused Vinyasa Flow to build mental and physical strength.

  • Mindful Integration: Post-flow time dedicated to journaling and reflection.

  • Community Breakfast: An extensive brunch enjoyed either in social connection or quiet contemplation.

The Morning: Awakening & Alignment

  • Surf Immersion: Optional surf sessions at Peniche beach with professional instructors to connect with the ocean's energy.

  • Unfold Workshops: Interactive sessions focused on personal growth, covering:

    • Identifying individual strengths.

    • Setting healthy boundaries.

    • Clarifying inner orientation and needs.

  • Personal Space: Open time for reading, walking, or resting.

The Day: Movement & Self-Discovery

  • Restorative Practice: Yin Yoga and breathing techniques to regulate the nervous system.

  • Nourishment: A communal dinner featuring good conversation and (optional) wine to close the day with ease.

The Evening: Softening & Connection

  • Inside Flow Special: A unique, movement-based yoga experience.

  • Shake your Shakti: A nervous system "reboost" designed to release deep-seated tension.

  • Sunset Evenings: Collective gatherings by the sea to celebrate the end of the day.

A real highlight of this retreat is the cuisine: Local chefs conjure up fresh, healthy and delicious vegetarian or vegan dishes every day - balanced, nourishing and cooked with a lot of love.

Fruits and tea are provided all day long.

Retreat location

Buddha Retreats is a special place, nestled in the green hills on the Portuguese Atlantic coast. You can expect nine modern rooms, a spacious living room and lounge with a fireplace, a sunny terrace, a spacious garden with a pool as well as a fully equipped yoga and seminar room. Our hosts Carlijn and Stephan – together with their dogs Oscar and Nala, two cats and the horses on the neighboring paddock – ensure with their warm disposition that you feel immediately welcome…

    For the use of a double room as a single room there is a surcharge of 300€

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to the organizer.

    In the event of cancellation, the following flat-rate compensation fees will be due:

    • Up to 8 weeks before the start: free of charge

    • Up to 6 weeks before the start: 25% of the course fee

    • Up to 4 weeks before the start: 50% of the course fee

    • Up to 2 weeks before the start: 100% of the course fee

    The participant may nominate a substitute participant up until the start of the retreat, who will then assume the contract with the organizer's approval. In this case, the cancellation fee will be waived.

How to get there

The arrival is not included in the price and must be organized by yourself. Lisbon is the best destination airport. From here, a collective transfer to the accommodation can be arranged. This is not included in the price. You can also take a rental car and drive independently to the accommodation. There are plenty of parking spaces available.

Tip: Combine your retreat with a stay in Lisbon. In May, it is no longer so hot and crowded, so you can fully enjoy the culinary and architecture of this colorful, lively city.

Meet your host

Anja Krebs

Since 2015 Anja has been teaching yoga and Pilates – with passion, curiosity and the desire to get people moving, physically and mentally. Her training includes more than YA 500 hours in Vinyasa, Hatha, Therapeutic and Somatic Yoga, but also Yin Yoga, Pranayama and Facia Release. You can practice with Anja at her regular classes in Berlin or at her yoga retreats in Germany and Portugal.

For Anja, yoga is a way to consciously perceive her own body again and to find access to inner processes through it. Through mindful movement you learn to feel what is good for you, what you need right now and where your limits are. At the same time, there is room to challenge yourself in a safe way, discover new movements and develop confidence in your body.

In her classes, Anja combines flowing, creative movements with conscious breathing and moments of calm. This silence creates clarity – for thoughts, feelings and what is really present inside. Yoga thus becomes a practice that strengthens you, grounds you and supports you in better understanding yourself and moving authentically - on the mat and beyond.
