Hosted by Maddalena Benedetto from Coming Home Yoga in collaboration with Domi from Kitchari Kitchen
Learn the fundamentals of traditional Indian healing arts for greater balance through diet and everyday habits.
Ayurveda is too good to remain a secret! That's how the idea for a workshop was born, offering a first glimpse into this millennia-old wisdom – because we can learn so much from it and apply it to our modern lives! We'll start right from the beginning, and no prior knowledge is necessary. Ayurveda can be a real asset for physical or even mental imbalances – which have almost become the norm in our modern world (stress, digestive problems, insomnia, etc.). So come along on this exciting journey through Ayurvedic knowledge and learn how you can find more balance, well-being, and ease through diet and small everyday habits!
At the workshop, you’ll dive into Ayurveda basics including:
What is Ayurveda and how does it differ from Western medicine
The five elements and the fascinating Ayurvedic view of the world
The doshas , i.e., the Ayurvedic constitution types
Digestion and agni , the digestive fire
Nutritional tips for everyday life.
The workshop also includes:
A simple self-test to find out which dosha type you are. A wonderful opportunity to get to know and understand yourself better.
Freshly cooked Ayurvedic food and something warm to drink. The essentials for a healthy body, mind, and soul.
A printed manual that will accompany you even after the workshop. It contains a clear summary of all the workshop content.
About the facilitators
Domi is an Ayurvedic health consultant and founder of KITCHARI KITCHEN . "Ayurveda needs to get out into the world, and someone has to start somewhere!" – This was Domi's thought after her own search for Ayurvedic-friendly food options in Berlin proved fruitless. Thus, in 2024, the idea for KITCHARI KITCHEN was born, where she aims to provide stressed-out city dwellers with simple, healthy meals.
Maddalena is a yoga teacher and Ayurvedic nutrition consultant. She believes that food brings great joy, especially when you feel content and completely at peace afterward. Ayurveda, with its loving approach, invites us to listen to and trust our body's signals. This connection feels like coming home, and that's exactly the feeling Maddalena wants to share with you through Coming Home Yoga.
