This weekend course is a beautiful way to get introduced to Shiatsu philosophy.
You will learn essential techniques, developing the art of sensitive touch guided by the recipient's body. By the end of the course, you will have learned a short sequence and gained an understanding of the essence of Shiatsu. Everyone feeling curious is welcome, but this can be a great addition to your skill set if you are already working with people as a somatic practitioner or yoga teacher.
The introductory course is also an invitation to get a feel for the premises and teaching style (the school's "visit card") and makes it easier to get started with the 1st year training.
The course content includes:
a playful introduction to the philosophical background of Shiatsu.
Teaching of the principle of "relaxing through weight release.”
Introduction to selected key techniques from various Shiatsu disciplines/
Participants develop an art of sensitive touch, characterized by the practitioner allowing themselves to be guided by the body of the person lying down.
A focus on an initial Shiatsu back treatment using palmistry.
Exercises for mobility and coordination. Participants will develop a posture that is both healthy and effective.
Ample time for questions, helping participants gain a deeper understanding of the essence of Shiatsu.
Pricing
Shiatsu Schule Kreuzberg strives to make Shiatsu accessible to as many people as possible. Therefore, they have opted for a tiered pricing system that allows for a balance between different financial means.
Base price: 100€
This price just barely covers the mandatory costs for the school (teachers' fees and room rental).
Regular price: 120€
This covers not only the fees and room rental but also the costs for administration, organization, and advertising. This ensures the sustainable operation of the school.
Sponsorship Award: 150€
You contribute to increasing the school’s planning security and thus to the long-term preservation and expansion of their services. Furthermore, you enable the school to demonstrate solidarity and offer lower prices or partial scholarships for people with low incomes.
