the touch.® 70hrs DEEPENING
Abdominal Space
January 17th - July 3rd, 2027 • Hybrid Training • Online + 7-Day Immersion • Berlin, Brandenburg, Germany • Taught by Marie Sophie Kiepe
The 70HRS Deepening takes the foundations of the touch.® into the abdominal and visceral space — a territory where anatomy, fascia, the nervous system and emotional experience meet.
Guided by the Five Elements, we explore the organs not as isolated structures, but through their relationships within the whole body.
Through theory, self-practice and hands-on work, you will refine your ability to listen, respond and stay present with what emerges beneath your hands.
This training is less about doing more — and more about sensing with greater depth, precision and trust.
What you will learn
The anatomy and organization of the abdominal and visceral space.
The fascial relationships between the organs, diaphragm, pelvis and surrounding structures.
How the nervous system influences protection, tension and responsiveness within the belly.
The Five Elements as a framework for exploring organ relationships, qualities and patterns within the body.
How to distinguish different qualities of tissue, tension and movement through your hands.
Hands-on approaches for working with the abdominal and visceral space.
How to meet physical and emotional responses with presence, sensitivity and appropriate boundaries.
How to develop a more responsive touch — allowing what you sense to inform how you work.
The Five Elements offer a framework through which we explore the abdominal and visceral body, bringing anatomy, organ relationships, movement, energetic qualities and embodied experience into conversation.

Training Journey
-
01 — Online Immersion · 20HRS
Building the ground.
Across the Five Elements, we combine theoretical study with movement, self-touch and embodied exploration — preparing the body and hands for the in-person work.
Each Element includes two hours of theory and two hours of embodied practice.
5 Elements · 10HRS Theory · 10HRS Practice
Live participation is an integral part of this phase. The online sessions are experienced together and are not available as replays.
-
02 — In-Person Immersion · 36HRS
Knowledge moves into the hands.
At St. Oak, the work shifts from self-practice into hands-on exploration.
Through demonstrations, partner work, guided touch and individual feedback, we deepen our understanding of the abdominal and visceral spaces through the lens of the Five Elements.
The rhythm is intentionally spacious, with a maximum of six teaching hours per day and time for rest, reflection and integration.
-
03 — Integration · 14HRS
Letting the practice become yours.
The training continues beyond the immersion, giving the work time to settle into your body, your hands and your own way of practicing.
The Place - St. Oak
The in-person part of the training takes place at St. Oak, surrounded by nature outside Berlin.
For seven days, we live, learn, eat and practice together — creating the intimacy and continuity that this work asks for.

For those ready to go deeper
The 70HRS is designed for those who want to deepen their relationship with touch and develop greater sensitivity, precision
and confidence in hands-on work.
The 30HRS Essentials is the natural foundation for this training. Experienced bodyworkers and practitioners with an established hands-on practice and relevant previous training may also enter the 70HRS directly following a personal conversation.
Frequently asked questions
-
The 30hrs Essentials is the natural foundation for the 70HRS Deepening, as the training builds upon its principles, language and approach to touch.
However, experienced bodyworkers and practitioners with an established hands-on practice and relevant previous training may join the 70HRS directly. If you haven’t completed the 30HRS, we’ll have a short conversation beforehand to make sure the training is the right fit for your experience.
-
The 70hrs is a deeper exploration of the abdominal and visceral space. We work with anatomy, fascia, the nervous system, organ relationships, emotional listening and responsive touch, alongside the Five Elements as an additional lens through which to understand the body.
-
The 30HRS establishes the foundations: presence, perception, listening and the principles of The Touch®. The 70HRS builds upon these foundations through more sustained study and hands-on practice, with a particular focus on the abdominal and visceral space.
-
The training includes 70 hours of teaching, access to the Memberspace and training guide, seven days of accommodation and shared meals at St. Oak, as well as a private community space for exchange and support throughout the training.
-
The training is taught in English. Questions and individual guidance can also be offered in German.
-
Live participation is highly encouraged, as the sessions are experiential and build upon one another. As we’ll be working in a small, intimate group, being there live also gives us the opportunity to get to know one another, build trust, and create a shared learning space throughout the journey.
Please note that only short sequences for self practice and the guides will be available in the Memberspace.
-
Yes. Upon completion of the training requirements, you’ll receive a certificate for the 70HRS Deepening. Together with the 30HRS Essentials, this completes the full 100hrs the touch.® Training Pathway.
